Unique opportunity to visit one of the most advance biogas waste management center in the city of Samsun, Turkey with experts roundtable

The production of biogas is strategically key to secure energy security and to contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions. KlimatelinK Biogas Community is organising a unique event including the visit of Samsun MSW landfill site with the team from Samsun Advan Energy where you would be able to see the generation of electricity from biogas and landfill gas. You will be able to visit this fully functional new unique integrated semi dry and wet fermentation biogas plant that transforms municipal waste into biogas, including discussions on the ground with the practitioners. Experts from the Turkish and international biogas industry will present their projects and research progress. You will also be able to meet and network with them and the attendees during the roundtable discussions and networking slots.

Location: Samsun, Turkey (90 minutes flight from Istanbul). Samsun Advan Enerji biogas plant is a 30 minute drive from the city centre

Costs: No cost for KlimateNet Patron members (semi-annual subscription fees . Participants will only have to pay for their flights to get to Samsun.

If you are not a KlimateNet Patron member then we will recharge at cost to cover accommodation (2 nights at a 4* hotel), meals for 2 days and transportation locally at $220.

The city of Samsun is at a 90 minute flight distance from Istanbul
